Everything starts and ends here

You can win & lose battles only in your mind. Make it your strongest ally.

What is mental strength ?

We have all heard the quote “Never Give Up”, well at it’s very core, that’s what mental strength is all about. We will face endless amount of challenges in life, whether work, training, love etc. its all about how we stood up to those challenges.

Mental strength is about taking up the most challenging task & enduring it till the end no matter how much physically taxing it is. We all have the ability to literally do anything we want to, but it’s the mental strength that separates the best. Whether it means being the strongest athlete ever or the best sales person, everything is up there. You will face 100s or maybe 1000s of rejection before you ever reach the highest of levels, but that’s where most of the people fail in life. They quit early, fearing that its the end of the path, one setback will broke all their strength & yes its not the physical part that is broken but mentally people give up.

It’s where you separate people, those who endure, those who are willing to do it at any cost imaginable, taking the biggest risk ever or maybe even just having the discipline to waking up every morning! It’s literally the urge to give up yet doing it anyway. Take any athlete for that instance, Lebron James, Tom Brady, Sir Mark Cavendish, and countless others who in their respective sports have excel far above the others only because they “NEVER GAVE UP”, they endured the toughest of challenges life has thrown at them & still came out on top on the other side because for them “joy of success far exceeds the fear of failure”.

A marathon is one of the biggest challenge you ever face, not just a physical but mentally it is going to take you places you never have been before! It is not just tough on your body but it will take every ounce of your grit, willpower, dedication or whatever you wanna call it… and will leave you broken from inside-out & only the people with sheer will can conquer it.

Screw the time, no matter you finish in 3 hours or 6 or even 10, every single person who cross that finish line is a winner !

Watch this for sure :

Hercules Nicolaou on Instagram: “I used to think that... You had to be crazy to run a marathon. To want to run 26.2 miles for fun, it just didn’t appeal to me. It wasn’t until I ended up signing up for one that I very quickly realised I was wrong. The thing I find so special about this sport is I can’t seem to find anything else quit like it... Name one other sport where the amateurs are part of the same event as the pros, especially the biggest one of the year... you can’t. To put into comparison, It’s like a Sunday League team playing in Wembley for a world cup game. Everyone wins, no matter where you come in the race you get the same medal around your neck. Everyone watching is there for you and every single one of them wants you to do your best, something truly unique in sport. The emotion, the cheers, the celebrations everything about the day is so much bigger than just the running. It’s one of the best energies I have ever felt, people all together, supporting one another, regardless of your skill level. And although at about 30km in I literally tell myself ‘I never want to do this again’, once it’s over I can’t wait to get another one booked-I really do love running. London Marathon, thank you. - - #running #runningmotivation #runner #training #runner #marathon #runners”

Now the first thing on your mind is like it very tough & how on earth I can do it ! I am not an athletic person and what not. Trust me, the people who actually runs in a marathon are just as ordinary as you ! The difference between them and you is that they took that first step.

Marathon is not ran in a day, it’s a commitment, a discipline you have to take up for months. The training alone will challenge you in every single way you can imagine & that’s what it is all about. Marathon teaches you the patience & commitment required to achieve anything in life. It takes months of constant dedication, the willpower to get out of bed, to put in hard work, day-in & day out and do this for months at end and yes if you endure the regime, you will see the result in the end. You will look back at yourself the day you cross that finish line & I promise you it will be the biggest joy you will ever have because you have literally build something from absolutely nothing !

Self-Love / Self-Respect / Self-Esteem

A video that one must watch everytime they feel down or feels less confident about themself. It gives you a whole different dimension into thinking about how one must look at the words they say & the promises they make to themself.

As per Social Media, “Self-Love” is about taking bubble baths, going on solo-dates, or just chilling at a bar all alone. Though these things are definitely important, that’s not what self-love is all about. It’s about doing very small things than will make your life better, like making your bed, preparing yourself healthy breakfast, going to workouts everyday, taking care of yourself in every single way is what self-love is all about. And once you have that self-love you will start to build that self-esteem, that respect for yourself. You will kick people out of your life who brings you down, you learn to say “NO” when it’s uncomfortable, you will understand your worth & make sure you are respected whether it’s at work, in friendship or relationship. You value your mental peace above everything else but that doesn’t mean by hurting others, or taking advantage, it simply means that you understand the boundaries, you respect the people who values you & take away those who don’t. And the most important thing is that you don’t quit on yourself, no matter what !

Giving up is the most easiest thing ever! And even all of the people around us, ask to just not try that thing because it’s tough, many people have failed in it or you should not spend that much energy in chasing stupid dreams & what not. I mean why give the examples of failures only, why not focus on people who have achieved extraordinary things only because it was tough. I mean it is meant to be tough else everyone can do it !

“Sometimes you just have to stop being scared and just go for it, either it will work out or it won’t & that’s life”

Pillar IV : Food
No matter how intense we workout, do cardio, strength train, perform various core exercises but we will never reach where we want to be without investing our mind & time in eating healthy food and doing so consciously. Eating healthy is expensive, until we need healthcare!
